After-School Program Teachers for Multiple Locations (K-12) - Part-Time
Robot Edutainment is looking for Moms, Students, Recent Graduates, and Any Individual interested in teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in after-school programs in the Los Angeles area. Teachers will be using robot kits to teach children in grades 3 - 6 how to assemble structures, introduction in electronics, and programming the robots in a curriculum designed to immerse children in concepts of mathematics, science, and engineering.
We surround you with a network of like-minded individuals to share ideas and a population of kids who are eager to learn from you. We also provide initial training on both how to instruct and Robotics, Computers and GUI Programming.
Instructors generally teach classes Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 6:00 pm or Saturday from 9 AM to 4:00 PM. We offer flexible hours-even 2 hrs/week is available!
Excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, and moms to reinforce technical and creative skills while having a fun teaching experience at one of our great learning centers. We provide competitive rates, individual must have a car, be drug free and willing to submit to a background check (require for TB Tests & Finger Prints).
Ideal Applicant for teaching will have one or more of the following qualities:
-Having teaching experience in a classroom setting (Teaching credential or education certificate will be a plus).
-Be comfortable teaching STEM subjects through K-6 with provided curriculum (Applicants could be currently pursuing or graduated in relative majors of STEM
-Proficient in Programming in a language (C++) and strong use of social networks, such as Facebook & Twitters
